New York Association of Realty Managers (NYARM) held its annual Awards and Honoree Gala at Leonard’s of Great Neck on Long Island.
Argo Real Estate received the prestigious 2014 Management Company of the Year award.
Argo Real Estate was selected for its dedication to providing continuing education for property managers, staff, and most recently, board members.
Argo Real Estates’ “Argo University for Boards” is the only program of its kind and teaches condo and co-op board members how to best handle issues ranging from understanding emergency generators to how to the needs of elderly residents.
Gene Kastner received the Resident Manager of the Year Award.
He was recognized for his dedication to “improving the lives of others through mentorship” for his work as Chairman of the Employment Committee of the Emerald Guild, an organization of resident managers and superintendents based in Manhattan.
He has been Resident Manager for nine years at La Bourgogne at 157 East 72nd Street, a condominium residence managed by Douglas Elliman.
FirstService Residential received the “Environmental Stewardship Team of the Year” award at the awards gala.
The award was presented to the company as a result of “FirstService Residential’s overall dedication to the environment and specifically for its exceptional efficiency accomplishments at Brightwater Towers Condominium in Brooklyn,” said Margie Russell, Executive Director, NYARM.
Charles E Snyder, president & CEO of National Cooperative Bank (NCB) accepted The Ronald McDonald House New York- Company Humanitarian Award on behalf of the bank.
NCB’s dedicated employee-driven selection process directs where NCB places its humanitarian efforts. In 2013, NCB gave $80,000 to charitable organizations through its corporate contributions committee.
