Transwestern Real Estate Services (TRS) announces it represented Graham Windham in a new, 6,000 s/f lease at 25 Chapel St. in Brooklyn.
Transwestern Partners Lindsay Ornstein and Stephen Powers, Executive Managing Director Arthur Skelskie, and Senior Associates Jake Cinti and Alexander Smith provided Occupier Solutions services for Graham Windham.
Graham Windham is a family services agency founded by Eliza Hamilton more than 200 years ago. The new Brooklyn office will house a group providing critical preventative services, which was funded through a contract with the City of New York.

To address COVID-19, the layout will have individual and group workspaces that meet physical distancing requirements, while the IT infrastructure will support flexible and remote work options.
“We are very excited to be opening our new Brooklyn office,” said Kym Watson, COO of Graham Windham. “We are very intentionally creating a non-institutional atmosphere that exemplifies our ‘Pillars,’ or core values. Through the design and decor, we are incorporating features to minimize the effects of trauma and toxic stress, which will be a terrific benefit to both our families and staff. We intend for the design of this location to become a prototype for all Graham Windham offices.”
The Brooklyn office is expected to open in October 2020. Building ownership, 40 Flatbush Realty Associates, was represented internally.
“The critical services that Graham Windham provides are even more important during this time of pandemic, when there is such tremendous and widespread need,” said Skelskie.
“This lease shows that leasing and construction work is still being successfully completed in New York City, even if timelines stretch a bit longer. We are very pleased to see the determination in all parties to close this deal to ensure that Graham Windham can take occupancy and begin helping people this fall.”
