Knotel, the agile workspace provider, has finalized a 39,000 square-foot lease at United Group’s 29 West 35th Street in Midtown.
The new lease encompasses five full floors at the 12-story, 85,000 square-foot office building, which is strategically located steps from Herald Square, New York Penn Station, and several major subway lines.
The addition of 29 West 35th Street to Knotel’s New York City portfolio further boosts the flexible office provider’s presence in Midtown. As of 2019, the company has completed more than two million square feet of deals in Manhattan, with plans for additional expansion in the coming weeks.
“Landlords and occupiers alike are seeing flexible office as the new normal – a valuable way to manage their portfolios and real estate requirements,” said Eugene Lee, Global Head of Real Estate and Business Development at Knotel. “We are pleased to add another great location to our portfolio to meet the needs of our clients, and will continue to grow aggressively in NYC and beyond.”
Michael Cohen, John Pavone, Jessica Verdi of Colliers International represented Knotel in the transaction, while United Group was represented in-house by Roni Mova.
Knotel, founded in New York City just three years ago, has quickly expanded nationally and internationally, with additional locations in San Francisco, London, Berlin, Paris, Los Angeles and Brazil. Knotel designs, builds and operates custom spaces for established and growing companies of 50 employees or more. Today, over 200 companies call Knotel home.
