New Astoria rental ready for market

Falcon Pacific Builders has completed construction of a 50-unit rental and retail building located at 28-16 21st Street in Astoria.

Developed by The Saab Family LP, the new seven-story steel and concrete building is 45,498 s/f, with 38,298 dedicated to residential and 7,200 to commercial space.

The development consists of 50 apartments – a mix of studio, one and two-bedroom units. Twenty percent of the units will be allocated for affordable housing under New York City HPD guidelines.

“The completion of this development is an exciting milestone for Falcon Pacific and the Saab Family LP. The project will provide a mix of affordable rental housing options in the highly sought-after neighborhood of Astoria,” said Joe Caraciolo, Chief Operating Officer of Falcon Pacific Builders, LLC.

“This development was created in a wonderful partnership with the Saab Family and architect Matt Markowitz. We are excited to see this valuable addition to the neighborhood, and to the much needed housing stock of New York City,” said Kent M. Swig, president of Falcon Pacific.

The architect for the development is Matt Markowitz, AIA. The building will provide tenants with recreational space amenities, common spaces in the basement and a rear tenant courtyard.
