Montefiore to open new medical, office complex at Taxter Park

GHP Office Realty announced that Montefiore Medical Center will open a new location at Taxter Corporate Park, a 370,000 s/f two building, Class A medical/office complex in Elmsford.

The 130,000 s/f primary care facility will be the first of its kind in the area, with both medical and executive office spaces.

The new space will include facilities for orthopedics, specialty services, endocrinology, allergy and diabetes treatment as well as physical therapy overseen by Burke Rehabilitation Center.

The new Montefiore Medical Center will also operate IT, social services and admin support from the new Elmsford offices.

James J. Houlihan and Andrew Greenspan, the principals of GHP Office Realty, a longtime local owner and operator of commercial properties in Westchester County, said Montefiore plans to open the location at 555 Taxter Road in early 2020.

One of New York’s leading medical and teaching hospitals, Montefiore is one of the 50 largest employers in New York State and is expected to continue growing in the local area.

555 Taxter Road is located directly off the intersection of I-287 and I-87. With Montefiore Medical Center’s long-term lease, the building is now fully occupied.

The highly trafficked location is less than two miles from the Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, Saw Mill River Parkway and Sprain Brook Parkway, allowing easy access from Westchester and Rockland Counties as well as Bergan County, New Jersey.

The Class A building is part of a two-structure complex, together with 565 Taxter Road, which is commonly known as Taxter Corporate Park. It was purchased by GHP Office Realty earlier this year.

Taxter Corporate Park is home to 15 tenants in a variety of industries. The property features a fitness centers and on site cafés as well as indoor and outdoor parking.
