MNS recently opened a new office near the Williamsburg waterfront at 40 North 6th St. and Kent Ave.
The office is located at the Edge, the top-selling luxury condominium building, which the firm sold out in 2012 as the exclusive sales agent team. The space will serve as MNS’ fourth office; the firm also has offices in Chelsea, Gramercy and on Bedford Ave.
“Opening a second office in Williamsburg made perfect sense for us since there is so much development happening on the waterfront with over 1,000 new units coming to the market. After successfully selling the area’s top condominium, the Edge, we proved that we know the market particularly well and were in a position to grow here,” Andrew Barrocas, CEO of MNS said.
“Highlyann Krasnow, one of our partners, did an incredible job designing an office that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. She captured the character of MNS, which is a perfect fit for Williamsburg and really, all of Brooklyn.”
MNS utilized reclaimed materials to reflect the industrial nature of the 3,000 s/f space and echoes Williamsburg’s industrial past. The office features 15-foot foot ceilings, copper lighting, and an open floor plan with 28 desks, multiple conference rooms and semi-private offices.
The office’s centerpiece is an industrial-style storage container custom-built by MNS, which serves as the main conference room. The entrance and reception area features an art wall that will be curated quarterly by MNS. The first installation is by Ryan Humprey of Humphrey Industries, a local Williamsburg artist.
The team also designed the large canvases of graffiti-style art throughout the office and created the listings display in the front window using raw materials of wood and wire. Additionally, the firm commissioned a local Bushwick metal shop to fabricate the steel work for the façade.
With MNS’ expansion to a second location in the neighborhood complete, the firm is actively recruiting agents to join its growing team. “MNS is looking for seasoned brokers that represent the neighborhood culture and have a pulse on the real estate market,” said Jonathan Tager, Managing Director of Brooklyn.
“We want brokers who serve as neighborhood ambassadors – people who have their ears to the streets, know the restaurants and retail openings and love to sell. Our culture thrives on collaboration and is a great place for a leading team to join as we continue to grow in Brooklyn.”
