Law firm leases 10,000 s/f at 1040 Avenue of the Americas

Cushman & Wakefield has arranged a long-term lease for Spivak Lipton LLP at 1040 Avenue of the Americas.

The tenant, a law firm focused on protecting unions, employee benefit funds, and individual employee rights, will occupy 9,750 s/f across the entire 20th  floor of the property. The asking rent was $59.00 per rentable square foot.

Cushman & Wakefield’s David Hoffman and Sam Hoffman represented the tenant in the lease.  Ownership was represented by William Cohen and Jarad Winter of Newmark.

“After 30 years at the same office, Spivak Lipton LLP was ready for a fresh start,” said Hoffman. “1040 Avenue of the Americas offers Spivak Lipton a brand new space at competitive terms in an incredibly convenient location for its employees and clients, equidistant between Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station.”

1040 Avenue of the Americas is a 255,000-square-foot office property strategically situated on the northeast corner of 39th Street. The classic corporate environment at 1040 Avenue of the Americas boasts an impressive new entrance, lobby and concierge/security command center. The asset is within walking distance of Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal and Port Authority, offering convenient access to all subway and bus lines, PATH trains and a myriad of amenities. The building is owned by Skyline Developers, an affiliate of Garden Homes Development.

Spivak Lipton will be relocating from its former offices at 1700 Broadway.
