Law firm expands to 27,000 s/f at 420 Lexington

Avison Young’s New York City office announced today that it has arranged a 27,000 s/f lease for the law practice of Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP at SL Green’s 420 Lexington Avenue.

Specializing in personal injury and medical malpractice, the law firm previously occupied 17,500 s/f on the 27th floor of the building before relocating and expanding in an adjacent office space with an additional 9,500 s/f.

Avison Young New York-based Principals Michael Gottlieb and Marty Cottingham and New Jersey-based Principal William McCaffrey represented the tenant in the negotiations while the landlord was represented in house by Larry Swiger and Elaine Anazagasty.

“In advising Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin LLP, we were able to secure newly available office directly across the hall from its former headquarters, providing the firm with nearly 10,000 s/f of additional space to support its continued growth trajectory,” said Gottlieb. “The firm’s lease expansion represents its steadfast commitment to New York City and 420 Lexington Avenue as its headquarters location.”

Swiger at SL Green added, “Avison Young quickly recognized the opportunity that the adjacent office space provided Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin LLP. Tenants at 420 Lexington Avenue have cited the building’s accessibility to mass transit and extensive amenities as valuable tools in furthering business objectives and tapping into the local talent pool.”

Wingate, Russotti, Shapiro & Halperin, LLP is a top-ranking New York personal injury and medical malpractice firm with over 50 years of experience representing victims.
