The Kaufman Organization has secured a 10-year lease with Vocativ, a digital media company which will be expanding its headquarters at 462 Seventh Avenue to 19,500 s/f on two new floors.

Vocativ produces stories of interest to a young, diverse and social audience, and includes everything from public forums and databases to social platforms and commerce sites.
“Vocativ’s decision makers were immediately drawn to the potential of the expansive spaces at 462 Seventh Avenue – the dual floors will nurture the company’s growing operation and can accommodate future growth. Vocativ has a strong vision for the look and functionality of the space and will have a hand in directing the interior installation process,” said Steven Kaufman, president of the Kaufman Organization.

Asking rents for the new space was in the high $40’s psf. Kaufman represented the landlord, alongside Barbara Raskob, director of leasing and Yvonne Chang, associate; Stuart Romanoff, vice chairman at Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.
462 Seventh Avenue, built in 1925, is a 23-story building in the Garment District. The 185,000-square-foot structure features a renovated modern lobby, 24/7 access and a shared entrance with 470 Seventh Avenue.
Tenants at 462 Seventh Avenue include Hale and Hearty and Starbucks on the ground floor, and Infinity Consulting Solutions, SNAP Interactive, Echoing Green and Granite Telecommunications.
