Jamestown, a design-focused real estate investment and management firm, today announced Anduril Industries leased more than 180,000 square feet at Allied Studios, a three-building property situated along Hills Place at Collier Road in Atlanta’s Upper Westside. The defense technology company will invest $60 million into a new manufacturing and research facility at the property, creating more than 180 new jobs in Fulton County over the next three years.
The space, located at 1435 Hills Place, will be home to Area-I, a manufacturer of advanced unmanned aircraft systems. Anduril acquired Area-I in 2021 and the company operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Anduril. When complete, the facility will include office, research and development, manufacturing, and production space across two buildings. The increased space for production will enable more hires for skilled mechanical and avionics technicians.
“With its network of top universities and diverse tech talent, Atlanta has emerged as a major a hub for the innovation economy,” said Matt Bronfman, CEO of Jamestown. “Anduril’s Atlanta expansion will bolster that status and add to the city’s dynamic ecosystem of innovative companies.”
“We’re proud to continue to be an active part of Atlanta’s growing technology & defense community. Atlanta has a highly skilled and educated workforce in aerospace, engineering, and robotics,” said Matt Grimm, Chief Operating Officer of Anduril. “By growing our presence in Georgia, we’ll be able to continue to attract world class talent who will support our mission to transform defense capabilities for the US and our allies.”
