
Brookfield Office Properties Inc. announced that Salvatore Ferragamo, the Italian luxury fashion house, will open a location at the redesigned Brookfield Place in Lower Manhattan, which is currently undergoing a $250-million renovation.
The renovated Brookfield Place, with its stunning waterfront location, is emerging as one of the most dramatic luxury retail centers in the region.
The new 4,200 s/f Salvatore Ferragamo boutique will feature creative director Massimiliano Giornetti’s premier ready to wear women’s and men’s collections, as well as shoes, handbags, luggage, belts, bijoux, fine jewelry, silks, perfumes, eyewear and small leather goods.
Salvatore Ferragamo will be joining luxury brands including as Hermes and Burberry, along with a mix of contemporary retailers such as Michael Kors, among others, establishing Brookfield Place as a retail district.

Complementing the shopping offerings at Brookfield Place will be a collection of restaurants and a 25,000 s/f “European-style” marketplace, operated by Peter Poulakakos. The Marketplace will offer a butcher shop, fish monger, cheese monger, fresh produce, coffee, desserts as well as two sit-down restaurants and 10,000 s/f of outdoor dining overlooking the waterfront.
A 35,000 s/f dining terrace overlooking the Hudson River and North Cove Marina, will house chef-driven casual dining options that include Mighty Quinn’s Barbeque, Num Pang, Umami Burger, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Chop’t, Dig Inn Seasonal Market, Dos Toros, Little Muenster and Skinny Pizza.
Equinox, the fitness and lifestyle leader, will open a 35,000 s/f, state-of-the-art facility at the redesigned Brookfield Place.
