Hines Names The Ritz-Carlton as Luxury Residential Brand for Boston’s South Station Tower Project

Hines, the global real estate firm, today announced Marriott International will bring the world-renowned Ritz-Carlton brand to the highly anticipated South Station Tower residential development in Boston. The luxury condominium residences are slated to open in 2025. 

Developed by Hines and designed by global placemaker Pelli Clarke & Partners, the 51-story, 1,020,000-square-foot building will redefine the Boston skyline. The upper 16 floors of the architecturally striking and sustainable development will feature residential condominium units serviced by The Ritz-Carlton, offering unsurpassed panoramic views of the city and Boston Harbor. With 166 condominiums in total, The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Boston, South Station Tower will provide owners with a premier luxury residential experience. Each home will offer unobstructed views and floor-to-ceiling glass windows with impeccable details designed by Jeffrey Beers International. Residents will have exclusive access to an array of indoor and outdoor amenities on the 36th floor, as well as the amenities offered in the state-of-the-art commercial space on the lower floors.

Hines will be working with The Collaborative Companies (TCC) on the sales of the 166 condominiums. TCC is a full-service, residential real estate marketing firm specializing in developing and implementing comprehensive sales and marketing programs. 

The project will also include an expansive private park, designed by OJB, for residents and office tenants, beautifully designed with health and wellness in mind, and ingeniously programmed for a wide variety of outdoor uses, including meeting spaces, dining terrace, water and fire features, contemplative gardens, walking paths and activity lawns—providing a restorative urban oasis on-demand. Additionally, the project embodies sustainable construction and design elements. The building is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification, WELL Gold certification and to be one of the first BREEAM “Excellent” ratings in the U.S. BREEAM is the world’s leading science-based suite of validation and certification systems for a sustainable built environment.

The luxury condominium and office tower represent the first phase of the three phase, mixed-use project. The first phase also includes expansion of the existing bus terminal at South Station increasing its capacity by approximately 50 percent. This construction is being privately funded and along with creating an architecturally significant public space at the train station concourse that enhances the image of South Station as a gateway to the city, it will also improve the streetscapes with new sidewalks, granite curbs, streetlights, greenery and street furniture, further activating the area and resulting in a vibrant and welcoming experience for transit patrons.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Boston, South Station Tower are not owned, developed or sold by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. or its affiliates (“Ritz-Carlton”). South Station Phase I Owner, LLC uses The Ritz-Carlton marks under a license from Marriott International, Inc. which has not confirmed the accuracy of any of the statements or representations made herein.
