Harlem Shake to open Brooklyn location

Harlem Shake, an iconic casual spot for burgers, shakesand more in the heart of Harlem, is expanding through a franchise deal for a second location to open in Brooklyn.

Katz & Associates’ David Yablon represented Harlem Shake through RESOLUT RE’s Sherry Naquin Sanchez and Spencer Bowman in the transaction.

The new 1,200 s/f restaurant (with another 1,200 s/f in basement) will be located at 119 5th Avenue, Brooklyn, and will feature the same modern, dinerlike setting with retro Harlem photos.

Harlem Shake, known for serving burgers, shakes, and good times, the Harlem way, will bring the same fun and tasty cuisine and drinks, and lively vibe to its new Brooklyn location. The fast-casual restaurant, beloved by celebrities, families, and beyond is known for collaborating with community businesses and supporting local non-profit organizations. Harlem Shake also has an annual Miss (or Mister) Harlem Shake contest each year where the winner gets to pick a Harlem non-profit organization to receive $500 on their behalf.

“It was exciting to help Harlem Shake find an ideal location – a great corner in Park Slope in Brooklyn – to expand their iconic brand,” said David Yablon, Director, Katz & Associates. “Since they first opened in 2013, Harlem Shake has been an integral part of the local community and has won numerous awards for their, burgers, fried chicken, milkshakes, and more! We know the Brooklyn location will also be a huge success.”
