Lidl first established its U.S. headquarters in Arlington County, Va., in June 2015, and today sells its award-winning products in more than 100 stores across nine East Coast states.

As part of an ongoing expansion, Lidl US announced it would open 25 new stores in Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia. By the end of next year, Lidl expects to sell its products in more than 100 stores and create more than 1,000 new jobs across nine states.

Johannes Fieber, CEO of Lidl US, said, “These new stores are part of the next steps in our U.S. expansion. Over the next year, we are excited to introduce more customers to Lidl’s award-winning quality, reliably low prices, and convenient shopping experience.”

“The addition of this growing, sought-after grocer is an exciting win for Brunswick Shopping Center and area residents alike,” said LMC Senior Leasing Representative Vanessa Fernandez-Kelty, who arranged the Lidl lease as landlord representative.

“As an essential category – and one that has proven to be Internet-resistent – grocery is a significant element and a tremendous traffic driver for any shopping center. Additionally, Lidl’s value-priced platform makes the brand even more desirable during this challenging time for many consumers.”

Brunswick Shopping Center sits on Milltown Road just off Route 1 in the heart of North Brunswick’s retail corridor. Lidl joins a co-tenancy that includes LA Fitness, Muscle Maker Grill, GNC, Dollar Tree, Sally Beauty, McDonald’s, Sherwin Williams, and Community Dental.
