Gemini Rosemont breaks ground for new Williamsburg apartments

Gemini Rosemont has broken ground for a new 57-unit apartment property in Brooklyn.

Situated at 167-171 North 1st Street in Williamsburg, the seven-story building comprised of 93,225 s/f with 57 studio, one, two and three-bedroom units including three townhouses and several penthouses on the 7th floor.

Many apartments will have private outdoor space and amenities will include on-site private parking, a fitness center, resident lounge, landscaped roof deck, kids’ room, tenant storage.

The design and professional team retained by Gemini Rosemont includes Broadway Construction Group, Fogarty Finger architect and interiors design firm, Desimone Consulting Engineers, the project’s Structural Engineer, and VENTROP ECG the project’s mechanical engineer.

Gemini Rosemont acquired the development site for $18.2 million just after the outbreak of COVID last spring. At the time, Paul Gerwin, executive vice president, said, “Williamsburg residents want the neighborhood feel of a boutique building, and the amenities of a large building. We are attracted to the property because the project size hits the sweet spot in meeting both of these lifestyle demands.”

The project is part of Gemini Rosemont’s commitment to growing its ground-up development capabilities and pipeline. Its current projects in New York include 101 West 14th Street, a 44-unit luxury residential building in Union Square.
