Fosun Hive Holdings has announced that Refinitiv, a provider of financial markets data and infrastructure, has leased 108,917 s/f of space on the entire 37th, 38th and 56th floors of 28 Liberty Street, the landmark tower in Lower Manhattan.

The tenant is relocating from 3 Times Square.

Fosun has completed 1.49 million square feet of office leasing with 30 tenants in the 28 Liberty tower since the beginning of a repositioning effort that includes the addition of 200,000 s/f of retail space and a new Union Square Hospitality Group restaurant and venue on the 60th floor of the property.

The Refinitiv lease was one of five transactions, totaling 254,995 s/f, that were executed in the fourth quarter of 2019, including 68,230 s/f for Dotdash; 36,110 s/f for the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York; 25,907 s/f for Blue Apron, and 15,530 s/f for Great American Insurance Group.

“28 Liberty’s world-class architecture, dynamic new retail and dining options, and cultural and community events have all helped to position the property for leasing success,” said Bo Wei, chief executive representative of Fosun International in the U.S. and Vice President of Fosun Hive Holdings.

“Refinitiv and the diverse group of other new tenants bring enormous energy to the building and validate the repositioning strategy.”

Thomas Costanzo and Isabella Chen represented the property owner in the transaction. JLL’s Peter Riguardi, Chairman and President of New York operations; Mitch Konsker, Vice Chairman; John Wheeler, Michael Berman and Dan Turkewitz, Managing Directors, and Eliza Akers, Vice President, also represented Fosun.

Robert Martin, Vice Chairman, and T.J. Hochanadel, Senior Vice President, both with JLL, represented Refinitiv.

Fosun Hive Holdings is the property investment and management platform of Fosun Group.
