FirstService Residential, New York’s leading residential property management company, announced multiple new clients across various asset types, including condominiums, cooperatives, multifamily rental buildings, and newly constructed developments throughout New York City. In the first two quarters of 2022, the company added more than 1,350 units to its management portfolio.
“We’ve seen extraordinary growth in the first half of 2022, which is a significant accomplishment considering the volatility and growing complexity of New York City’s real estate market,” said FirstService Residential New York President Dan Wurtzel. “We owe our success to our decades of experience and access to top-tier in-house resources. These are major differentiators for condo and co-op boards and building owners looking to enhance the value of their property and overcome inflationary pressures.”
Among the company’s new clients are some of the city’s most iconic multifamily properties, including Madison House, an 805-foot-tall skyscraper in NoMad; 100 Eleventh Avenue, designed by Pritzker Prize laureate and renowned architect Jean Nouvel; the award-winning 25 Bond Street in NoHo; One Boerum Place, home to the most expensive rental apartment in Brooklyn history; and Parkway Village, a 675-unit garden-style community in Briarwood, Queens.
“Our continued growth exemplifies a desire among boards and owners for a management company that is equipped to solve complex financial hurdles and compliance requirements, as well as routine tasks and operations that impact the daily lives of building residents,” said President of Property Management Michael Wolfe. “We are delighted to share our growth for 2022, thus far, and look forward to what our team will accomplish throughout the rest of the year.”
FirstService Residential is also leading environmental change in the multifamily sector by helping boards and building owners improve energy efficiency and minimize their reliance on fossil fuels, with the goal of reducing annual operating costs and carbon emissions – one of the most challenging requirements of New York City’s local energy laws and regulations.
Earlier this year, FirstService Residential announced a national expansion of its energy consulting and advisory services across the U.S. and Canada. Provided through its energy advisory affiliate FirstService Energy, the expansion will bring the benefits of the company’s sustainability advisory services to more than 1.7 million residential homes across 8,600 residential communities as well as the company’s own corporate locations.
