FEATURED DEAL: Second chance townhouse

Bill Abramson at Buchbinder & Warren has just closed on a $4.15 million Gramercy townhouse.

The three-story home at 315 East 18th Street includes a cellar and a garden.

The brick townhouse was built around 1850 by developer James Foster.

“It is exceptional as it is surrounded by lovely historical townhouses and neighboring townhouse gardens,ˮ said Abramson.

The property was sold in “as is” condition giving the new owner a chance “to reclaim its single family grandeur, while adding all of today’s welcomed modern luxuries.ˮ

According to city records, the new owners are journalist Heidi Mitchell and her marketing guru husband Colin.

Heidi was the features and travel editor at Town & Country and contributes to publications, including the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal, Architectural Digest and Newsweek.

Colin is worldwide head of planning at Ogilvy & Mather.

Bill co-listed the house with colleague Matthew Olden. Jeffrey Shannon of Brown Harris Stevens brought in the buyer.
