Douglas Elliman Realty, one of the largest independent residential real estate brokerages in the United States, announced today that award-winning agent Michelle Griffith has joined the firm. She will be based at the company’s 140 Franklin office in TriBeCa.
A leader in luxury resales and new development properties in New York City for more than a decade, Griffith has sold some of the most exclusive homes in Manhattan, booking more than $900 million in sales to date. In 2020, she was ranked the #1 agent at her previous brokerage and the #6 agent in Manhattan by Wall Street Journal and Real Trends. Consistently included among The Real Deal‘s Top 75 Manhattan Residential Agents, Griffith also has appeared on WNBC’s Open House NYC and Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing NY.
“Michelle’s record of achievement and her reputation for discretion speak for themselves,” said Howard M. Lorber, Executive Chairman, Douglas Elliman. “I am so delighted that she is now part of the Elliman family.”
“Exceptional agents like Michelle understand that success in real estate—especially over the long term—begins and ends with earning the trust of your clients,” said Scott Durkin, CEO, Douglas Elliman Realty. “The fact that so many of Michelle’s clients are public figures is a testament to her integrity and character. She will be right at home here at Douglas Elliman.”
“In addition to her extensive experience with marquee Manhattan properties like 30 Park Place, Michelle’s longstanding relationships with the city’s top developers, investors and industry specialists will only strengthen our already formidable hometown network,” said Richard Ferrari, President and CEO of Brokerage, New York City and Northeast Region at Douglas Elliman.
“Douglas Elliman is the rare brokerage that manages to be a vital, endlessly innovative organization while staying true to its heritage,” said Michelle E. Griffith. “Even as it expands nationally and ever more globally, it is doubling down on its dominance in NYC. I am both thrilled and proud to be joining this powerhouse at such an exciting moment in its phenomenal growth.”
Griffith began her professional life in the medical sales industry before transitioning to the world of real estate. She is involved in several philanthropic endeavors in Manhattan, where she has served for many years as the NY Chapter President for Room to Read, an organization that supports children’s education in developing countries. She lives in Tribeca and Montauk with her husband, daughter, son and their goldendoodle.
