Done Deals: This Week’s Residential Sales

JODI STASSE

Above it All in Asbury Park: Corcoran Sunshine’s Jodi Stasse, who’s been representing iStar’s New Jersey development Asbury Ocean Club Surfside Resort and Residences, has sold the new property’s first penthouse. At a $5 million asking and closing price, this is a record amount for the area.

Stasse, Corcoran Sunshine’s senior managing director of new developments, said the Asbury Park property has seven penthouses that have seen a high level of interest. The sold penthouse had been on the market just five weeks before it went into contract.

“The Penthouses at Asbury Ocean Club are a one-of-a-kind experience,” said Stasse. “That coupled with the oceanfront location, vibrancy of Asbury Park, amenities and services and proximity to NYC make this a great alternative to the Hamptons and we believe our penthouse purchaser experienced just that on his visit to our sale gallery.”

Asbury Ocean Club is a 17-story, 130-unit development designed by Anda Andrei that welcomed its first residents this summer. Amenities include a pool, a spa, gym, library, game room, children’s facilities, a concierge and a dog wash. The tower also houses a hotel on the fourth floor which opened July Fourth weekend and a restaurant is set to open onsite next year. One-bedrooms start at $900,000.
