Townhouses in Queens are in demand like never before, according to Citi Habitats agent Carolina Gontijo.
She just sold a three bedroom single family home at 48-35 44th Street (pictured top) for $1.17 million.
The brick townhome has a private driveway and one-car garage as well as a finished basement and fenced backyard.
But Gontijo believes it was the location that sealed the deal.
“The family who purchased the house wanted to be close to the 7 train,” said Gontijo. “One of the new owners works in Manhattan and she was looking to cut her commuting hours down so she could spend more time with her family.
“Also, the backyard was a must for them since they have two young children. 48-35 44th Street offered them the space of the suburbs in prime location. It’s the best of both worlds.”
Gontijo received a total of six offers for the home and went to contract in 28 days just under the $1.2 million listing price.
