Steven J. Schleider, 2011 president of the Metropolitan New York Chapter of the Appraisal Institute and president of Metropolitan Valuation Services, announced the recipient for the Chapter’s prestigious “Person of the Year” award is Daniel P. Lane. MAI, SREA, SRA, ASA. Since 1966, Lane has valued over 4,000 properties in 25 states as well as Italy and Columbia, South America. Prior to the formation of his present firm, Eastern Appraisal Company, Inc., he was vice president of Appraisers and Planners; senior appraiser with Stone and Webster Appraisal Corp.; real estate officer of the NYS Urban Development Corporation; and right of way agent for the NYS Department of Transportation.
