CoreNet nyc Announces 2022 Board Members

Thomas O’Halloran

CoreNet Global New York City Chapter (CoreNet NYC) is pleased to announce its new Board Members for 2022. Executive leaders of the Board include Thomas O’Halloran, CoreNet NYC Chair, Vice President of Business Development, Structure Tone; Alison Kwiatkowski, CoreNet NYC President, Senior Vice President of Global Workplace Experience, Warner Music Group; and Larry Charlip, CoreNet NYC Vice President, Vice President of Global Workplace and Real Estate, Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.

The Board and Advisors held their annual Board Retreat in early February to develop strategies, prepare for the year ahead and structure the chapter for the coming year. Ideas for a wide variety of strategies and initiatives resulted from this event, with several innovations, engagement and exposure goals emerging as the focus of the Board over this year. These include diversifying engaged members, engagement types and content. Specifically, these goals will be achieved through highlighting emerging CRE roles and underrepresented industries, attracting a broader range of career levels and emphasizing DE&I. As it pertains to engagement types and content, the Board will be focusing on events that promote relationship cultivating, such as committee volunteering and creating interest groups, as well as diversifying event types through new programs, continuing education workshops, hackathons, tours and other exciting ways for members to form connections.

The Board also plans to create more innovative content and diversity-specific initiatives as well as draw upon our Executive Leadership Committee and Advisor leadership in new ways. This includes redistributing content in a more tailored fashion and exploring new partnerships throughout New York City. Technology will also be in focus this year, with the Board hoping to more effectively amplify member experiences and knowledge sharing through the return to in- person events and connecting with members through the CoreNet app. Building on the Board restructuring from 2020, which allowed for a quick and seamless pivot to virtual events when required by the pandemic, the Chapter is similarly looking to committees and volunteers to provide offerings for in-person connections for members.

“Thanks to our sponsors and individual members, the CoreNet New York City Chapter is the largest within the organization, which is a testament to our people and the resilience of the New York Commercial Real Estate industry,” said O’Halloran. “Therefore, it is vitally important for the Board and our volunteers to continue working diligently to innovate with thought leadership and quality experiences for our stakeholders. I am honored to step into the role of Chair and am eager to begin working with Board members both past and present to continue developing this unique and outstanding Chapter.”
