The Durst Organization today announced that Consumer Reports has signed a two-year lease for 8,189 square feet on the second floor of 675 Third Avenue. 675 is the nonprofit’s first Manhattan location, and the new satellite office will serve to establish a presence in Midtown Manhattan. Consumer Reports is headquartered in Yonkers, New York.
675 Third Avenue is located at the northeast corner of 42nd Street and Third Avenue and steps from Grand Central Station. 675 Third’s recently completed capital improvement program continues The Durst Organization’s commitment to providing tenants with premier office properties. New windows improve the comfort level of tenants and significantly increase the energy efficiency of the building envelope, and replacement of original perimeter induction units also contribute to enhanced energy efficiency in addition to providing more precise climate controls. Other significant renovations include a new plaza with a zinc green wall feature, an updated entrance, refurbished lobby, and renovated elevator cabs.
“We are pleased Consumer Reports has selected 675 Third Avenue for their first Manhattan office,” said Jonathan (Jody) Durst, President of The Durst Organization. “675 is in the heart of Midtown Manhattan and provides Consumer Reports with a direct connection to their main office in Yonkers via Metro North. Soon, Long Island commuters will have direct access to Grand Central when the LIRR East Side Access project is completed later this year creating more options for accessing Third Avenue and Midtown East.”
The Durst Organization was represented in-house by managing director Lauren Ferrentino and senior managing director Ashlea Aaron.
