Atlas New York, a Fashion District luxury rental building widely known as the official “home” to Project Runway contestants, hosted two hundred residents and guests on the Sky Terrace for a rousing show featuring up-and-coming musical act, He Met Her. Located at 66 West 38th Street, the Atlas Sky Terrace provided the perfect setting for nearby Fashion’s Night Out shoppers to take a break from their shopping and enjoy an evening of music, 48 stories above the fray.
Guests enjoyed panoramic views of Manhattan, including a stunning look at the Empire State Building, and sipped on a wide variety of cocktails. Volunteers from God’s Love We Deliver, a not-for-profit provider of life- sustaining meals and nutritional counseling for people living with life-threatening illnesses, were also in attendance to raise awareness, recruit volunteers, and serve their famed brownie bites.
Fresh off of their UK tour, He Met Her—comprised of band members Mowgli Moon and Rocky Chance—entertained the audience with tunes from their debut EP, Crime Novela.
“We have a long history of finding the best up-and-coming and underground artists to perform on Atlas New York’s gorgeous rooftop,” said David Picket, President of Gotham Organization. “We have hosted artists including Lady Gaga and Ellie Goulding before they became household names, and our residents always feel as though they have the inside scoop.”
Atlas New York regularly draws a crowd of music fans with its Open A.I.R Concert Series—past guests include Lady Gaga, Ellie Goulding, Eve, and Rhett Miller. The next concert is scheduled for Sept. 20 and will feature singer-songwriter ZZ Ward.
