AROUND TOWN: Broadway star to perform at annual Strolling Supper; Fireside chat with Robert Lapidus

LIREG Breakfast

Nov. 6: The Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG) will host a breakfast event at the Old Westbury Country Club featuring an inside look at the current status of the proposed Heartland Town Square “smart growth” development in Edgewood. The headlined speaker will be David E. Wolkoff, principal at Heartland Business Center, the privately owned real estate company that is working to transform the former Pilgrim State Hospital property into the mixed-use Heartland development. As proposed, the development will include 9,000 housing units, a million-square-foot “lifestyle” center, 3 million square feet of Class A office space, a hotel and convention center, indoor and outdoor civic space and an aquarium. LCRF Strolling Supper

Nov. 7: The Lung Cancer Research Foundation (LCRF) will host its Sixteenth Strolling Supper at Gotham Hall. WABC-TV’s Bill Ritter will once again host and there will be a performance by Sutton Foster (pictured top) Tony Award winner and star of Younger.
