The nicest guy in real estate took over 100 agents, staff and friends on an adventure to celebrate the firm’s 25th anniversary — and most of them didn’t even realize.
As David Schlamm, founder of City Connections Realty, partied with his guests on the 150 ft. Atlantica on a sail through New York Harbor, a wicked lightening storm knocked out the vessel’s steering.
“The storm was so bad, they went through two generators and even lost control of the steering,ˮ said Schlamm. “The boat rocked just as much as the party did.ˮ
A keen boater himself, Schlamm chartered the three-story yatch to celebrate a record-breaking year at the firm, during which it reached its quarter century business milestone.
As the storm raged outside and lighting streaked across the sky, guests danced to a live DJ and enjoyed a feast of buffet foods.
“This was probably the best party our firm has ever had and having it for our 25th anniversary just made it sweeter,ˮ added Schlamm.
Guest included Jill Schlamm and Maggie (one of the couple’s two daughters), CCR agents, landlords, managers and members of the REBNY rental committee where Schlamm’s contributions over the years earned him his sobriquet.
