Anchin, a top-tier nationwide advisory and accounting firm that specializes in architecture, engineering, construction and real estate, is pleased to announce the Construction, Design and Real Estate Award recipients for 2022. The honorees will be recognized on June 14, 2022 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM at The Yale Club at 50 Vanderbilt Avenue in New York City. The event is presented in cooperation with the New York Building Congress (NYBC), the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York (ACEC New York), the Subcontractors Trade Association (STA) and Commercial Observer.
For 2022, awards were presented in three categories, and were designed to highlight construction, design
and real estate companies that had an outstanding impact on philanthropy, sustainability and those who
are champions for promoting diversity and inclusion in their workplace and/or in the industry.
The Award for Community Engagement and Philanthropy, which recognizes a company that has went
above and beyond in supporting their neighbors and community stakeholders, was awarded to DBI
Projects, Red Apple Group and DeSimone Consulting Engineers.
The Award for Most Substantial Impact in Sustainability, which recognizes a company that has gone
above and beyond expectations in regard to sustainability within the built environment, real estate, design and construction industries, was awarded to Jonathan Rose Companies, Dattner Architects and ECOR Global. The award also highlights innovative project work or work across a portfolio that presents a
thorough and robust strategy for sustainability practices for the long-term.
The Award for Most Impactful Support of Diversity and Inclusion, which recognizes a company that
has excelled in promoting and championing diversity and inclusion in their practices throughout the
organization and company culture as well as promoting diversity and inclusion in the industry, was
awarded to The Peebles Corporation, Langan and Gilbane Building Company. The award also
recognizes those who have developed a company culture that integrates DEI strategies into the
framework of the business.
The event will also feature Thomas Foley, Commissioner of New York City Department of Design and
