Melanie Lazenby and Dina Lewis at Prudential Douglas Elliman have gone to contract on the funky Greenwich Village water tank apartment.
The tank (right) was turned into a “rooftop cottageˮ during a renovation by Messana O’Rorke Architects.
It has its own central air, heat, cable, and 24 ft. ceilings and overlooks a wooden deck planted with trees and trellised vines. Access to the cottage is via a spiral staircase leading from the two-bedroom condo loft underneath.
The condo has “a large entertaining spaceˮ with a fireplace and “oversized windows.ˮ There are 12 ft. ceilings plenty of skylights and a spa bathroom. The asking price for the package was $3.6 million. Lewis and Lazenby had no comment on the buyer.

Julia Boland of The Boland Team at Halstead Property has just debuted her One212, the first iPad app developed by a broker.
The senior vice president said she created One212 to offer an insider’s peek into New York real estate from a broker’s point of view. One212 is an interactive magazine that explores New York City properties on the rise, provides insights into home renovations, and answers questions from Boland and her team on the real estate market.
Boland takes readers on a step-by-step renovation of her Harlem brownstone and offers helpful tips and useful information to others seeking home renovations. Updated on a quarterly basis, the app can be downloaded for free from the iPad newsstand. To date, no other residential broker in NY has created a personal real estate app.
