Cushman & Wakefield announced that Joseph Caridi, a former Tri-State Region Chief Operating Officer for Colliers International, has joined the firm as a Senior Managing Director.
Caridi will be based in the firm’s world headquarters office in Midtown Manhattan.
Caridi, who will report to Ron Lo Russo, president, NY Tri-State Region, will be responsible for driving growth, recruiting and executing strategic initiatives for the region.
As COO at Colliers, Caridi was responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the firm, overseeing the production and revenue components of the business.
With more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, Caridi has served as Executive Director for Newmark Knight Frank as part of the firm’s New Jersey operations.
In 2006, he was promoted to Executive Director of brokerage and advisory services in the New York Tri-State Region and was responsible for overseeing Newmark’s recruiting, growth initiatives and development of the firm’s junior and mid-level professionals.
Prior to joining Newmark, he served as Senior Vice President/Co-Managing Director at Reckson Associates Realty Corp.
A graduate of New York Institute of Technology, Caridi holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from The City of New York School of Law at Queens College.

Cohn will handle day-to-day operations, and help drive forward the strategic vision for the company.
A nationally recognized expert in the mortgage industry and a respected leader in the New York and national real estate community, Cohn originated her first loan in 1985 to start the Manhattan Mortgage Company.
Prior to joining GuardHill, she enjoyed a storied career that has spanned the course of 30 years. She has been awarded numerous accolades including Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Metro NY), and has ranked as Top Originator in the nation numerous times since 1996. She has also served as Governor of REBNY (Real Estate Board of New York).
She received the Women of Power Influence Award from the NYC National Organization of Women (NOW), and the Builder of the Year Award from Habitat for Humanity for being an outstanding corporate partner.

SL Green Realty Corp. announced that Matthew J. DiLiberto has been named the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective Jan. 1, 2015, when the employment agreement of the current CFO, James Mead, expires.
Mead will be leaving to pursue other professional interests.
DiLiberto has been with SL Green since 2004. Prior to this promotion, was the company’s Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer, overseeing its finance, accounting and corporate capital markets functions.
Before joining SL Green, he served for four years as a Controller and Director of Information Management for
Chelsea Property Group, which is now a division of Simon Property Group.
He previously held positions at Vornado Realty Trust and at Coopers and Lybrand, LLP, the predecessor to PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP.

Massey Knakal Realty Services announced that John Notte has been hired as Director of Sales, focusing on industrial properties in New Jersey’s Hudson, Union and Essex Counties.
Prior to Massey Knakal, Notte worked at Factory Production in Clifton, NJ, where he handled facilities management and served as a lease agent of sound rooms and studio production space.
Earlier, he was a residential real estate salesperson at Cornerstone Realty in Newark NJ.
Notte earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Retail Management from University of South Carolina.

Bergman Real Estate Group announced that Tom Castellano has joined as Senior Property Manager, based in the firm’s Iselin, New Jersey office.
He will be responsible for property management and construction supervision for the firm’s Northern New Jersey office properties.
Castellano is an industry veteran with more than 28 years of experience in property management.
Most recently, he served as a Property Manager with Onyx Equities, for the past six years. Prior to Onyx, he was Regional Property Manager for Ivy Realty.
Before joining Ivy, Castellano was Senior Property Manager for Coldwell Banker Commercial/Troast Realty, responsible for overseeing the Cendant portfolio, where he was awarded the 2004 BOMA New Jersey Office Building of the Year. Earlier, he was Director of Facilities for Spectrum for Living.
Castellano received his BOMA RPA designation in 2008.

The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) announced the appointment of David H. Brogan as its new executive director and executive vice-president of government affairs and business development.
Prior to joining NJAA, Brogan was first vice-president for the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) where he managed legislative and regulatory issues pertaining to tax, economic development, labor, environment and energy policies.
Concurrently, he served as executive director of the NEW JOBS Political Action Committee (PAC). Under Brogan’s leadership, NEW JOBS became the fastest growing and largest ideological business PAC in the state.
Previously, he served as a senior legislative representative for Capital Public Affairs Inc. in Princeton, and was a senior staffer in the New Jersey Senate.
Brogan is a graduate of Rutgers University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science.
He also served four years in the U.S. Navy as an anti-submarine warfare operator and a rescue swimmer.

CBRE Group, Inc. announced that Jeffrey R. Havsy will join the company as Americas Chief Economist, effective December 1.
The Americas Chief Economist is a new position in which Havsy will work with CBRE’s research team to develop insight, analysis and a viewpoint on economic, financial and market trends impacting real estate.
Havsy joins CBRE from the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF), where he was Director of Research.
Havsy will also lead a team of economists at CBRE Econometric Advisors (CBRE EA), the company’s real estate forecasting unit.
Havsy brings a nearly two decade track record to his position. Prior to his role at NCREIF, Havsy held senior real estate strategy positions at Property & Portfolio Research, Equity Office Properties and LaSalle Investment Management. He began his career as an economist at the Chicago Board of Trade.
Havsy received a B.A. in Economics from Lehigh University, an M.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and did significant course work toward a Ph.D from the University of Virginia. He is a Homer Hoyt Fellow.

Madeline Burbank, Michael Fioravanti, and Stephen Vorvolakos have joined the Investment Sales division as Associates.
After interning with the firm in the Manhattan division, Madeline Burbank transitioned to an Associate role. She will be working alongside Clint Olsen, focusing on Midtown East.
Madeline earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with Concentrations in Finance and Marketing and a Minor in Geography from the University of Richmond. She also studied at the Vienna School of Economics & Business in Vienna, Austria.
Michael Fioravanti joined the Bronx division as an Associate. He will be working alongside Nicholas Burns, focusing on Hunts Point, Melrose, Morris Park, Morrisania, Mott Haven, Pelham Parkway, Port Morris, Soundview and The Hub.
Prior to Massey Knakal, Fioravanti was a Sports Information Assistant at Fordham University, where he assisted in the game day activities of all 20 Division I varsity teams.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management with a Minor in Business Administration from St. Bonaventure University.
Stephen Vorvolakos joined the Brooklyn division as an Associate. He will be working alongside Jeffrey Shalom, focusing on Bensonhurst, Boro Park, Dyker Heights, and Gravesend.
Prior to Massey Knakal, Vorvolakos was an Intern at the Kings County Supreme Court in Brooklyn, NY, where he assisted with the court proceedings of domestic violence and mental health cases.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government/Law from Lafayette College.

NorthStar Healthcare Income, Inc. announced the appointment of Ronald J. Jeanneault as Chief Executive Officer and President of the Company.
Jeanneault has been a key member of management for NorthStar’s healthcare platform, having served as Executive Vice President and Head of Asset Management of both NorthStar Healthcare and the healthcare investment division of NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. since March 2012.
From June 1999 until January 2012, Jeanneault served in various positions at Sunrise Senior Living, Inc. Before that, he was the Director of Residential and Outpatient Programs for the Kennedy Krieger Institute at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Prior to 1994, Jeanneault spent four years with New Medico Health System.
