LEASES: Broad Street Development announces 7 new leases signed at 370 Lexington

Aerial imagery firm Nearmap Ltd, has signed a lease for a new office at 20 West 36th Street, where it will occupy a 7,272 s/f private floor featuring hardwood flooring, 14-foot ceilings and ornate columns. Mitchell Waldman, president of Cogent Realty Advisors, represented the tenant in its lease negotiations. The building owner, the Rosen family, was represented by Max P. Koeppel, director of leasing for Koeppel Rosen LLC, the leasing and managing agent for the Rosen’s Manhattan office portfolio. LETA Architecture is designing and managing the construction of Nearmap’s office, which will be used mainly for sales and customer service.  Among its offerings, the location intelligence company provides insights to a range of businesses and government organizations. It is one of the ten largest aerial survey companies in the world, capturing wide-scale urban areas in Australia, New Zealand, U.S. and Canada multiple times each year for the freshest content. 20 West 36th Street is a 12-story, 85,000 s/f loft building that was constructed in 1912. Current tenants include American Friends of Magen David Adom, CP Fashion Group, and Capsule Pharmacy.

Broad Street Development announced that seven new leases have been signed at 370 Lexington, the Grand Central district pre-war office building recently purchased and being repositioned by the company. The new leases include:

• Basis Research, global consulting firm leased 3,300 s/f of office space;

• Slip, a boutique fashion company that has A-list celeb clientele, leased 2,410 s/f;

• Financial recruitment firm One Search Inc, took 2,223 s/f;

• Clear Haven Capital Management, an investment advisory firm, took 1,100 s/f;

• Sircle Media, a social strategy firm, leased 4,202 s/f;

• The United Nations Mission of Saint Kitts and Nevis leased 4,470 s/f to house its official US outpost;

• Madison Avenue Eye Care leased 2,720 s/f.

Houlihan & O’Malley Real Estate Services, CBRE and Admiral Real Estate Services announced that Bank of America will open a new Bronxville NY retail branch location at 151 Parkway Road, at the corner of Palmer Avenue and Parkway Road, across from the Bronxville Metro-North train station. Houlihan & O’Malley and Admiral Real Estate represented the landlord in the transaction. The tenant was represented by Allan Price of CBRE.

Schuckman Realty has facilitated the lease of 735 Ninth Avenue to a Cajun restaurant called Shaking Crab. The space was most recently home to the Sound Bite Restaurant. Jeremy Nowak represented the tenant in a 10-year lease to take approximately 1,250 s/f on the ground floor with a full basement. The landlord was represented by Christine Traina of Douglas Elliman. The new restaurant will be the Shaking Crab’s fourth restaurant in New York City, serving Cajun-style infused seafood boil.

PAG Investments announced that Brookhaven Professional Center, located in Medford, NY, has welcomed four new tenants. The full-service complex, which is home to a variety of medical and professional offices, has added:

• Suffolk Independent Living Organization (SILO), with a 13,858 s/f lease;

• Developmental Disabilities Institute, with a 3,821 s/f lease;

• Hewitt Medical and State Farm Insurance, with 833 and 880 s/f respectively.

NEW JERSEY

Cushman & Wakefield announced that Pag’s, a North Jersey restaurant and catering operator, will relocate from Paramus to Nutley in an expansion move. The restaurant opened in 2018 on the Paramus Golf Course; its new location at 227 Franklin Ave. will feature downtown dining in an established retail neighborhood. Retail leasing broker David Townes, represented landlord Bao Lung Realty Corp. in orchestrating the long-term lease for the 6,300 s/f former Kyoto Buffet Restaurant space. Roman Drukarov from Berkshire Hathaway Home Services NJ acted as tenant representative for Pag’s. Under the direction of Chef David Paglia, Pag’s serves both quality interpretations of classic American dining dishes and “daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of food,” according to the restaurant’s website.
