Kassin Sabbagh Realty (KSR) announced that Ronnie Shaban has joined the company as a managing director.

The veteran dealmaker will be focusing in acquisition and dispositions of investment real estate and retail and office leasing in the NYC metropolitan area.

Previously Shaban was a senior director at Besen & Associates, where he worked for a decade closing over $850 million in transactions.

Shaban is well versed in various types of real estate investment properties includes but not limited to multifamily, mixed use, retail, assemblages, office and industrial. Ronnie will also be focused on landlord representation in retail and office leasing.

The New Jersey Apartment Association (NJAA) announced that Andrew Musick has joined the organization’s government affairs team.

As Vice President of Government Affairs, Musick will be responsible for managing legislative and regulatory issues that impact the multifamily apartment industry in New Jersey.

Musick joins NJAA from the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) where he served as Vice President.

He earned a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Monmouth University.

Houlihan Lawrence Commercial announced that Don Minichino has joined the company’s team of commercial brokers.

Minichino specializes in retail, industrial and office leasing and sales in New York’s Hudson Valley.

Previously, he was Director of Business Attraction for Think Dutchess Alliance for Business.

During his tenure, he assisted in attracting 22 business to the county with an estimated 315 full-time jobs. He also led a repurposing task force to identify site and building redevelopment opportunities.

Prior, he was an account executive with Focus Media in Goshen, N.Y., and a staff reporter for Mid-Hudson News Network.

Minichino earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications from Mount Saint Mary College.

T. Weiss Realty Corp announced that Katie Waterhouse has joined the company as a marketing associate.

Prior to joining T. Weiss, Waterhouse was a marketing coordinator at the corporate office of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty in Cold Spring Harbor.

A graduate of Massapequa High School, she received a Bachelor of Science in Professional Communications from Farmingdale State University.

One Wall Partners has hired Kerri Haltom as Senior Vice President of Property Management for the company’s portfolio, which has grown to more than 3,600 units in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Haltom will oversee the property management division as the company continues to grow through acquisitions.

During the past 25 years, Haltom has cultivated experience across a broad range of functions within the multi-family management sector.

She spent 18 years with Home Properties as Senior Vice President of Property Management. She executed significant capital improvement plans, and managed operational and financial performance in eight geographic regions. Under the ownership of Lone Star Funds, Haltom oversaw the disposition of all assets.

Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Natasha Persad and Justin Scott Long have joined the real estate services firm as Directors in Brokerage. Persad and Long will be based in the firm’s midtown Manhattan office.

Natasha Persad’s experience spans several diverse and notable industries in a broad range of roles.

She has held executive positions at Goldman Sachs, The Deal, Li & Fung, Marriott, British Airways and Photronics.

She specializes in internal operations, business development and applying best practices from one industry to another to create higher profitability for companies.

Justin Scott Long is a former Fortune 500 executive who has worked at leading global corporations, including The William Morris Agency, United Talent Agency, Warner Bros. Television and NYC Health + Hospitals.

He has led, developed and negotiated a variety of large national and global deals throughout his career and has extensive experience in business development, sales, internal operations, finance and production.

Together, Persad and Long also sit on the advisory board of a healthcare technology company.

Onyx Equities has added four new senior staff members to its finance, development and construction management teams.

Rona E. Korman joins the firm as General Counsel. She previously served as general counsel for Malvern Bank, National Association; Union Center National Bank; and Big M Inc., the operating company for Mandee Shops and Annie Sez Stores.

In addition, she has a background in private practice including representing developers, banks, landlords and tenants in a wide range of real estate related and corporate transactions.

She has a B.A. Cum Laude from Moravian College, and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, and is a certified mediator.

Robert Rediker joins as Senior Vice President for Development and Construction.

His previous experience includes the past 10 years at GTIS Partners and more than 20years at Forest City Enterprises.

Kristen S. Pappas joins as Vice President of Property Management and Operations.

She brings a “best in class” pedigree earned at Tishman Speyer and Fisher Brothers and is charged with continuing to refine the Onyx management style.

Pappashas a B.A. Cum Laude from Gettysburg College and an M.A. from the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate; with concentration in finance and investments.

Pauline Mang joins Onyx as an Associate on the Asset Management team. S

Prior to Onyx, she was a real estate portfolio management specialist at Deutsche Asset Management. Before transitioning to real estate, Mang worked as an Exotics and Hybrids analyst at JPMorgan’s investment bank in Hong Kong.

She holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from Columbia University.

Joseph Costa joined Onyx in 2017 as an Associate of Asset Management and will now be an Associate with the Investment Group.

Prior to joining Onyx, he worked as an Analyst in Asset Management, as well as Development and Leasing, for Renaissance Properties.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Finance and Investments from New York University.

Michael Wolfson joins Onyx as a Senior Analyst on the Investments team.

Prior to joining Onyx, he was an Associate on the Real Estate Capital Markets desk at UBS.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Rutgers University.

Waterton announced the hiring of Tara Marszewski as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

She will replace Doug Denyer, who will remain with the company for the next six to eight weeks to ensure a smooth transition prior to his planned retirement.

Marszewski brings almost 20 years of experience and a track record of driving growth and bottom-line results for complex real estate companies.

She will be responsible for the direct oversight of finance, corporate, residential and hospitality accounting, as well as tax, treasury and benefits and compensation functions at the firm.

Prior to joining Waterton, Marszewski was CFO of Brookfield Properties’ retail group. She was previously chief accounting officer of General Growth Properties, Inc. (GGP), which later merged with Brookfield, and prior to that spent 10 years in the real estate audit practice at KPMG, focused on both public and private REITs as well as equity funds.

Syska Hennessy Group has appointed Divya Hariharan, MBA, as director of strategic initiatives. She will be based in the firm’s New York City office.

Hariharan will lead facilities management, real estate, leasing and the rollout of a new enterprise resource planning system.

Previously, she worked at MetLife Group Inc., most recently as director – strategy & planning. Her earlier positions there focused on program management, governance, and global projects.

Before joining MetLife, she served as a strategic sourcing analyst at Pride Technologies in New York City, and as a software developer at Mastek Ltd. In Mumbai, India.

Hariharan earned her MBA from Rutgers Business School, and holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering in Mumbai.
