Staten Island restaurateur Carmine Gualtieri is set to open Vice Kitchen & Cocktails, his fifth culinary concept, at Staten Island Urby.
One of the largest new construction developments in Staten Island, Urby has 571 rental apartments and 35,000 s/f of commercial space.
Led by Chef Jared King, the new Vice Kitchen will occupy 5,000 s/f of space and offer a spin on global tapas with a Latin and Cuban influence that ramps up at cocktail hour.
Robert Nixon and Brian McGowan of Casandra Properties’ Nixon McGowan Team represented Staten Island Urby in the deal. One remaining 4,548 s/f retail space is available for lease.
Gualteiri was inspired to open at Staten Island Urby after observing the success of the other restaurants at the building. He currently owns four dining establishments across Staten Island’, including The Hop Shoppe in Stapleton and Richmond Republic in Eltingville with business partner Craig Regina, as well as The Pizza Parlor and Play Sports Bar in Annadale.
Joining Vice Kitchen & Cocktails, other restaurant highlights at Urby include Barca, Chef Dave Pasternack and Vic Rallo’s newest concept which is the first Mediterranean-style seafood restaurant in Staten Island; Surf, the second restaurant by TV Host & restaurateur Vic Rallo that is dedicated to live wood-fire cooking; Seppe Pizza Bar, run by brothers Joe Iovino and Damian De Rosaire; and Egger’s Ice Cream, the parlor where the ice cream is made fresh daily.
