Anbang taps Douglas Elliman to sell Waldorf Astoria condos

The hotel will have 375 private residences once the renovation is complete.

Anbang Insurance Group yesterday (Tuesday) announced that Douglas Elliman Development Marketing has been selected to manage residential condominium sales for Waldorf Astoria New York.

The property’s private residences – The Towers of the Waldorf Astoria – will include 375 homes with access to exclusive private amenities and services of the famous hotel.

“The meticulous revitalization of this beloved landmark is well underway, and we cannot wait to show a global audience what we have been creating. This will be a rare opportunity to own a home at one of the most special addresses in the world,” said Andrew Miller, executive director of Development at Anbang.

“Douglas Elliman is the perfect partner to market these unique homes, with an unmatched ability to showcase ultra-luxury properties paired with the global reach of Knight Frank.”

Under the leadership and guidance of its President and CEO, Susan de França, Douglas Elliman Development Marketing will oversee the sales campaign.

The global real estate agency Knight Frank will work alongside Douglas Elliman as its exclusive international sales partner.

Slated for completion in 2021, Waldorf Astoria New York will include approximately 350 newly built hotel rooms and suites and renovated public and event spaces for guests in addition to the building’s luxury residential component.

Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) is the project architect, and interior designer Pierre Yves Rochon is leading the design of the hotel’s interiors and guest rooms.

AECOM Tishman was engaged to manage the project’s construction and preservation efforts. Noe & Associates is overseeing creative branding.
