UJA-Federation of New York honored Richard J. Mack, co-founder and CEO of Mack Real Estate Group, at its Real Estate Division Annual Luncheon on May 16, 2019, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
The event raised nearly $1.8 million in Mr. Mack’s honor, for UJA’s annual campaign to sustain its network of hundreds of nonprofits that touch the lives of millions of people each year.
William L. Mack, chairman and founder of Mack Real Estate Group, presented Mr. Mack, his son, with the Jack D. Weiler Award in recognition of his outstanding professional achievements and commitment to philanthropy.
Mr. Mack served as chair of UJA’s Real Estate Division for campaigns 2014-2017 and actively serves on its Executive Committee. He is a former president, and a current president emeritus and member of the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Educational Society (HES), a UJA-funded agency. Mr. Mack was elected as chair of the board of the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty, another UJA-funded agency.
Among the nearly 600 people in attendance to celebrate Mr. Mack were Larry A. Silverstein of Silverstein Properties, Inc., Lloyd Goldman of BLDG Management, Leonard A. Wilf of Garden Homes, Joseph Moinian of The Moinian Group, and Andrea L. Olshan of Olshan Properties; as well as luncheon chairs Michael D. Boxer of RCG Longview, Marty Burger of Silverstein Properties, Inc., and Stephen F. Mack of Mack Real Estate Group; journal chair Kelly Kennedy Mack of Corcoran Sunshine; UJA-Federation’s Real Estate Division chair Jonathan M. Estreich of Estreich & Company; and division vice chairs Richard S. Lane of the Olnick Organization, Inc., and Andrew J. Singer of The Singer & Bassuk Organization LLC.
