Canadian workplace experience platform, Lane announced its expansion into the US on the heels of $2.5 million in funding from Alate Partners, Panache Ventures and Colliers/Techstars.

The funding will be used for new hires and office openings in the US, including New York and Los Angeles, slated for the third quarter of this year. Lane has leased 1,550 s/f of office space at 350 7th Avenue in Williamsburg that is expects to move into “soon.”

Lane has also established partnerships with real estate operators, including Brookfield, Dream and Colliers, to bring its global coverage to 68 million square feet.

Lane was founded by Clint Robinson and Kofi Gyekye in 2015.

“Lane plays a critical role in the operation of commercial buildings by providing landlords the ability to activate physical spaces through a tenant-facing platform. With a robust backend, a partner-first mentality towards integrations, and a user experience that tenants love, Lane is becoming the central nervous system for some of the built world’s most prized assets. We are committed to supporting what we believe will become a global leader in the real estate technology ecosystem,” said Jake Cassaday, Board Director at Alate Partners.

“This is an exciting time for Lane. We’ve been working away on the backend to make the most impactful, useful platform for both property managers and users and look forward to bringing our technology to the US as we improve and redefine what a workplace is and can be,” said Robinson.
