Westbrook Partners, the Midtown-based real estate investment company, bought the W Union Square Hotel for $165 million.
The W Union Square at 201 Park Avenue South has 21 floors and 270 rooms housed in a Beaux-Arts building built in 1911.
Most recently, it was owned by the hotel real estate investment trust, Host Hotels and Resorts, who purchased it for $185 million in 2010.
The hotel is part of The Marriot’s W line of international hotels and has two sister hotels in Downtown and Times Square.

The W Union Square was up for sale back in 2016 and was marketed with a possibility for a residential or independent hotel conversion or global branding strategy.
Westbrook Partners and Host Hotels and Resorts did not respond to requests for comments.
