HAVE YOU HEARD? Bono checks out Wburg penthouse for his kids, CT private island cuts $50 million from pricetag

U2 frontman, Bono was spotted getting his hipster on in Williamsburg recently.

The Irish rocker checked out the $2.85 million penthouse unit for sale at 85 North 3rd Street, also known as The Mill Building.

The former industrial factory space was converted to condo in 2008 and has been home to celebs including model Agyness Deyn and Gossip Girl star Penn Badgley.

The penthouse is dubbed the “House on the Roof” in its listing, as one whole wall of the unit opens to a massive private terrace with Manhattan skyline views.

The two bedroom, two-bath apartment comes with its own underground parking space.

But Bono isn’t planning a move to Brooklyn anytime soon — he is said to be on the hunt for digs for one of his four kids with wife Alison Hewson — daughters Jordan and Eve and sons Elijah and John.

Jordan runs her own tech company Speakable, which promotes social activism, while Eve has found success as an actress and will next appear in the blockbuster drama Papillon alongside Charlie Hunnam. Elijah has his own rock band.

The apartment is listed with Christine Blackburn at Compass.

Broker David Turner has shaved $50 million off the asking price of a private island on the Long Island Sound.

The Houlihan Lawrence agent has listed Great Island in Darien, CT, for $120 million.

Bought by baking powder tycoon William Ziegler in the early 1900s, the house has been home to various members of the Ziegler family since.

Granddaughter Helen Ziegler-Steinkraus lived there with her husband William Steinkraus, an Olympic gold medalist in show jumping at the 1968 Mexico City games, until she died in 2012 and then he passed away in 2017.

The 63-acre Great Island is ringed by a mile of coastline with a private cove, crescent sand beach and deep-water dock that can accommodate a 100-foot yacht.

The main house is a 13,000 s/f stone manor, built in 1905. It has nine bedrooms and seven baths, 15 ft. ceilings, a great room with timbered ceiling and seven sets of French doors.

Smaller structures dot the island, including a caretaker’s house, seaside cottage, and boat and beach houses.

The island also has its own equestrian center, including an 18-stall stable, indoor and outdoor riding arenas and a network of bridle trails.

“In an area full of estates with great historic provenance, few can match the stature of Great Island,” said Turner. “
