DONE DEALS: Kern closes Sting sale

Sting, one of the world’s best-selling music artists, and wife, Trudie Styler, just closed on their penthouse home at 15 Central Park West for $50 million.

It was listed with Corcoran’s Deborah Kern.

Sting and Trudie were among the first buyers at 15 Central Park West, picking up PH 16-17B for nearly $27 million in 2008 from the developer.

The home was designed by Lee F. Mindel, who added two custom sculptural spiral staircases to the 5,417 s/f duplex that has a bird’s eye view of Central Park and a 400 s/f terrace.

PH16-17B is configured as a three-bedroom, plus home office that could be a fourth bedroom.

A designer chef’s catering kitchen features two full-sized refrigerators, a Wolf stove top and four ovens, and three Miele dishwashers.

The master bedroom suite takes up 70 feet of frontage directly on Central Park with those great views, two large dressing rooms, a spa bathroom and an extra bathroom with rain shower and steam.
