INDUSTRY legend Barbara Corcoran has given her thumbs up to a new book by residential mortgage expert Marc Demetriou (pictured top).
The founder of The Corcoran Group, and investor on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning show, Shark Tank, Corcoran said, “Marc Demetriou has written a superb success guide unlike any other. Based on 15 universal principles, Lessons From My Grandfather will help you achieve the success you deserve in life and business.”
Demetriou learned early in his life that success is a choice thanks to the teachings of his grandfather, Haralambos “Charlie” Pistis.
The archetypal self-made man left Cyprus penniless at the age of 16, and immigrated to America weeks after the Black Tuesday Wall Street Crash and the beginning of the Great Depression.
Through all the hardship and challenges of life, Charlie beat the odds and retired at the age of 60 a millionaire. He enjoyed 37 more years with friends and family until he passed at the age of 97.
In Lessons From My Grandfather, Demetriou tells Charlie’s compelling story and reveals lessons he learned at his knee, while providing clarity and inspiration that readers can use to recognize their unique talents, then achieve their goals in life and business.
