New York Building Congress hits all-time high with 500 members

The New York Building Congress announced that its membership reached an all-time high with the recent addition of TD Bank, one of the largest banks in the United States, as its 500th member.

Since the beginning of 2017, the Building Congress has added 125 new member firms to its ranks. With three months still to go, the Building Congress has already shattered its previous record of 68 new memberships in a single year, which was achieved in 2015.

“I’m thrilled to welcome TD Bank as our 500th member – they have a long history of success in New York and I am confident we will accomplish incredible things together,” said Building Congress President & CEO Carlo A. Scissura.

“One of the main priorities I set for my first year at the Building Congress was to increase the size, scope and diversity of our membership, and I’m happy to say that we have already far exceeded our lofty expectations for 2017. Our new member firms are both large and small; hail from all five boroughs; and are active in virtually every segment of the building community.”
