Art Exhibition
Now- Dec. 31: L&L Holding Company has launched an art exhibition series to be located in the lobby of 200 Fifth Avenue and running through Dec. 31. Sculptor John Newman will be the inaugural featured artist in what will be a rotating series of exhibitions of art that will be displayed in both the lobby and in two street level window cases at L&L’s landmark office building. Newman, who has shown his work internationally and is in major museum collections, is known for his innovative use of materials, provocative use of color, and vanguard treatment of abstract form. The lobby is open to the public daily.

Sept. 13-29: The Greater New York Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management will conduct a course titled “Accredited Residential Manager” (ARM) from 8:00 to 5:00 on September 13-15 & 27-29 at 50 Broad Street in NYC. Sept. 15: To mark the 100th anniversary of NYC Zoning, the New York City Department of City Planning and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design have teamed up to create a one-day symposium to explore how zoning may be deployed in New York and around the world to create more equitable, productive, sustainable, and livable cities. Over 25 lawyers, planners, designers, and other professionals from New York, other US cities, and other cities abroad well-versed in the field of zoning will speak about the history of New York’s zoning, the zoning and land-use regulatory experience in five United States and four international cities, the link between planning and zoning, and the advisability of creating a new zoning resolution.
