Rudin renews four tenants at 355 Lexington Avenue

In a series of separate transactions at the Rudin Family’s 355 Lexington Avenue, four companies have signed long-term lease renewals totaling approximately 41,300 s/f of office space

Citymeals-on-Wheels, an organization that raises private funds to provide meals for homebound senior citizens throughout the five boroughs, has signed a 10-year, 8,996 s/f lease renewal at 22-story, 250,000 s/ftower in Midtown East.

With the new lease, the organization will remain in the building until 2026.

Also renewing is Wealth Advisory Group, a Manhattan-based financial services company, which has signed a 10-year, 15,882 s/f renewal on the entire 9th floor; Rogoff & Company, a New York City-based certified public accounting firm, which signed a 10-year, 8,300 s/f lease renewal on a portion of the 6th floor; and construction and development firm Time Square Construction, which signed a five-year, 8,122 s/f lease renewal comprising the entire 17th floor.

Bill Rudin, co-vice chairman and CEO of Rudin Management Company, the operating arm of the Rudin Family holdings, commented: “Citymeals-on-Wheels has been our tenant at 355 Lexington Avenue since 1992, and we’re delighted to help this important organization continue their extraordinary work. This is an organization that my father, along with Preston Robert Tisch, Gael Greene and other concerned New Yorkers created to help homebound people get the food and nutrition they need.  We’re proud to have them for another 10 years.”

He added, “We’re also proud to renew Rogoff & Company, Wealth Advisory Group and Time Square Construction at our building. These renewals are an indicator of the strength of 355 Lexington Avenue and our reputation as long-term owners responding to our existing tenant’s needs.”

Robert Steinman, vice president at Rudin Management Company, represented building ownership in all four transactions. Jeffrey Frenkel of CBRE, Inc. represented Citymeals-on-Wheels; Howard Poretsky of Savills Studley represented Rogoff & Company; and David Berkey of L&L represented Wealth Advisory Group. There was no outside broker in the Time Square Construction transaction.

Home to a roster of tenants including Eastern Consolidated, Gordon & Silber P.C., TNS Custom Research and the Harry Walker Agency, 355 Lexington Avenue was built in 1959 by the Rudin Family.

The property has received several upgrades and improvements over the years, earning an Energy Star label in 2015 for its operating efficiency, as well as Gold certification from Wired Score.
