The Lupus Research Alliance has signed a 13,541 s/f lease for space at 275 Madison Avenue.
The Alliance is a merger of three of the most prominent lupus associations in the world, The Alliance for Lupus Research, The Lupus Research Institute and the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation.
The non-profit leased the entire tenth floor and the new built-to-suit space will serve as their headquarters.
Susan Kahaner and Jennifer Ogden, senior directors at Avison Young, represented the Lupus Research Alliance in the 10-year lease of the entire tenth floor. The space offers a high ratio of windows allowing staff to have private offices, as well as an over-sized boardroom.
Ogden said, “The new space will foster collaboration between the three partner organizations, allowing them to continue pursuing breakthrough discoveries that will have a global impact in the fight against this devastating autoimmune disease affecting millions of people worldwide.”
