Done Deals: Power of Persistence

When searching for a home, it pays to be persistent.

Citi Habitats agent Jessica Kaufman recently helped her client purchase unit 5R at 55 Montgomery Place in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

She and her first-time buyer searched Park Slope for the right home and ended up losing bidding wars for two before Kaufman found a one bedroom co-op in a classic Brooklyn brownstone on the market for $399,000.

“My client loved the place, but again the competition was intense,” said Kaufman. “We went through two rounds of bidding.

“The first round, my client was outbid. However that deal fell through — and I was able to get him the apartment at a lower price than the seller wanted and had accepted from the other offer. He was thrilled to finally hold the keys to his new home.”

The final sales price for the unit was $415,000, and maintenance fees total $608 per month.

Behzad Amiri of Corcoran represented the seller.
