She joined JCRA from Wells Fargo in New York where she was a vice president and marketed and structured interest rate management solutions for public REITs, multifamily and hospitality clients.

Alexis Michael is a Managing Director in the NY Office of Hines. Claire Milonas has over 20 years of experience in the direct private equity investing space. She is a Vice President of Ionian Management Inc., which oversees the Ionian Group’s interests in shipping, oil and gas, and real estate. As Vice President of Ionian Management, Milonas is currently working on the $10-million-plus refinancing and repositioning of a historic landmark building located in Columbus Circle in Midtown Manhattan.
The façade is currently being restored to its historical grandeur and will pair with the property’s modern amenities and connectivity.
The project is expected to be completed in 2019 and will welcome retail chain Nordstrom with a two-story retail space (located in the lobby and second floor) totaling 16,891 square feet and 12,111 square feet on the third floor for office space.

The alignment of the subway is set to be constructed through oil and methane fields beneath the campus. Recine secured a victory when the federal district court ruled that the FTA violated environmental law by determining that tunneling beneath the campus was not a “use” of historic resources. Recine and the School District then offered alternatives that would not disturb the school’s historic buildings, but the agencies claimed that each would require the subway to proceed beneath other historic houses. In February 2018, Recine and the School District filed suit again, exposing that the purportedly historic houses had been demolished decades earlier. Litigation is pending.
