Avison Young announced Brent Glodowski, Willis Fries, David Lawrence and Henry Post have joined the firm as retail/office investment sales professionals.
Glodowski was appointed as Director, Fries and Kang as Associate Directors and Lawrence and Post as Associates and both will be based in Avison Young’s New York City office.
Brent Glodowski brings over 10 years of commercial real estate experience, most recently as principal for Kinsey Capital, where he participated in the sale of over 53,000 s/f of investment grade real estate at a price of $83 million.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from the American University and a Masters in Real Estate Finance & Development from Georgetown University.
Willis Fries joins Avison Young from Lexington Realty Trust, where he analyzed commercial property market data, property condition reports, appraisals and environmental reports.
He performed financial analysis and due diligence for acquisition of single-tenant commercial properties and portfolios throughout the US with values ranging from $15 to $250 million.
Fries earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Connecticut College and a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment from the Schack Institute of Real Estate at New York University.
David Lawrence joins the firm as an office sector specialist from Savills Studley, where he worked as an Associate in their office leasing team.
Lawrence earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, French and Francophone Studies.
Henry Post worked with James Nelson at Cushman & Wakefield as an Associate in the Investment Sales team. Before that, he operated Post Holdings, LLC, where he was involved with real estate investment, development and syndication.
Post holds a Bachelor in Real Estate, Hospitality from Florida State University and is currently pursuing an MBA with a Real Estate Concentration, also from Florida State University.
Avison Young announced that the company is welcoming veteran investment sales
professionals Brandon Polakoff, Carly Weinreb, and Phillip Bowman to its team.
Polakoff becomes Director, Weinreb becomes Associate Director and Bowman becomes Associate of Avison Young and will be based in the firm’s New York City office.
Brandon Polakoff has over 10 years of commercial experience and worked alongside James Nelson at Cushman & Wakefield as Associate Director of Capital Services.
Polakoff played an integral role in Team Nelson’s sales listings and oversaw sales with an aggregate value of over $2 billion across eight assets and originated $93.3 million dollars in sales.
Polakoff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Trinity College.
Carly Weinreb has over nine years of commercial experience and also joinsthe firm after
working with Nelson at Cushman & Wakefield, as Senior Associate.
As member of Team Nelson’s sales listings at Cushman & Wakefield, Weinreb has participated in over 100 transactions, adding to an aggregate value in excess of $1.4 billion. Weinreb holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
Philip Bowman also joins Avison Young after working together with Nelson at Cushman & Wakefield as an Associate. He holds a Bachelor in Political Science and Economics from Colgate University.
Advisors Commercial Real Estate announced that Howard Rosenblum has joined the firm as Senior Managing Director in the New York office.
Rosenblum has more than 20 years of direct experience in the garment industry, having owned a garment and textile business. He will apply his expertise to commercial properties from Midtown South up into Midtown to take advantage of the recent air rights rezoning and Class A tenant moves to Hudson Yards.
Rosenblum began his real estate career with the Kaufman Organization, where he provided counsel and solutions for nine years to clients facing difficult real estate matters.
His experience includes working with such firms as Bonobos, Biz 2 Credit, Reunited Clothing, ODA Architects, and Vanguard Construction, among others.
Arbor Realty Trust announced the appointment of Bill O’Brien as Senior Vice President, Agency Production.
O’Brien will be responsible for the development and growth of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac production pipelines as well as agency relationship management.
O’Brien has more than 25 years of commercial real estate lending experience. For the past 10 years, he served as Fannie Mae’s Director of Multifamily. In this role, he managed several national accounts, including two Top 10 DUS Lenders.
Prior to this position, he worked at Capmark Finance / GMAC Commercial Mortgage for 12 years, advancing to serve as Senior Vice President, Director of Underwriting and Origination for a West Coast regional office.
He was responsible for generating origination volume of approximately $2.5 billion per year from 2004-2007 in various product types, with the largest concentration in apartment lending.
O’Brien holds a Bachelor of Science from The College at Brockport, State University of New York.
MetaProp NYC announced that Elie Finegold, a long-time entrepreneur and global property executive, has joined the PropTech investment, advisory and startup acceleration firm as Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR).
Finegold will guide and advise MetaProp startups on strategy, investments, research and business development. In addition, he will act as a global ambassador for the MetaProp brand.
Finegold’s experience includes his most recent role leading innovation globally for CBRE as SVP of Global Innovation and Business Intelligence. In that role, he founded and led CBRE Labs and assisted the company in strategic technology investments and partnerships both internally and with the burgeoning startup space.
Prior to CBRE, Finegold was on the founding team, and was a partner, Managing Director, and Chief Administrative Officer of Island Capital Group (ICG).
During his tenure he was also President of an ICG subsidiary, Island Global Yachting (or IGY Marinas). He led IGY Marinas to the deployment of more than $1.5 billion in capital around the world.
Finegold also previously served as Chief Innovation Officer of Insignia Financial Group. In that role he was also the Chairman of Octane, a technology-focused consortium of real estate services firms.
Earlier in his career, Finegold was co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Cubitz.com until its acquisition by Insignia. Previously he was the founder and CEO of Syncretic Media.
Finegold graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University in a concentration he designed, Music and Culture.
TH Real Estate has appointed Jason Hernandez as Managing Director, Head of Originations for the Americas.
He will be based in the New York office and report to Jack Gay, Managing Director, Global Head of Debt.
With nearly 20 years of investment experience, Hernandez was most recently with ACORE Capital, a private debt lender.
Before that, he held a number of positions at GE Capital Real Estate originating debt and equity investments.
Fernandez holds a BS in Finance from Illinois State University and an MBA in Finance and Real Estate from The Wharton School of Business.
He will focus on further expanding the company’s third party commercial mortgage business, and lead a team of originators located in multiple offices across the United States.
Alexander Anderson Real Estate Group has opened its first New York City office and announced that Lisa Young has joined as chief operating officer of the new office.
Young joins Alexander Anderson from the Corcoran Group, where she served as a residential broker for the last 12 years. She ranked among the top one percent of sales professionals at NRT, the nation’s largest real estate brokerage company and Corcoran’s parent company.
A member of the New York Real Estate Board, she earned a BA from Fordham University.
Assurant, Inc. announced the appointment of Marc Hinkle as managing director of Assurant Valuations.
Hinkle joined the team in November 2016 as senior vice president. In this role, Hinkle was responsible for valuations operations while delivering on service-level commitments and ensuring a positive client experience.
He has over 20 years of mortgage banking experience including valuations, property preservation and all aspects of mortgage loan servicing.
Prior to joining Assurant, Hinkle held leadership positions at Mortgage Contracting Services and at PHH Mortgage Services.
Rose Associates announced that industry veteran Scott Marino will join the firm as executive director of multifamily management.
The company also announced a promotion from within, naming Marc Ehrlich as chief investment officer.
Scott Marino joins Rose from the LeFrak Organization, where he was a managing director. He oversaw the conversion and lease-up of the Murray Hill Marquis, formerly the Affinia DuMont Hotel on East 34th Street, the development of The Ellipse, the newest addition to the 4,800 unit Newport Campus in Jersey City, and the renovation and re-positioning of the iconic LeFrak City.
Prior to LeFrak, Marino was a vice president of sales, marketing and customer service at Compass Rock Real Estate, where he oversaw Stuy Town/Peter Cooper Village as well as other assets, and he also spent nearly 10 years at Aimco.
Marc Ehrlich first joined Rose in 2013 in a development capacity and he became the company’s CFO in 2014.
He played an instrumental role in Rose’s three-year redevelopment of 70 Pine Street in Lower Manhattan. He has also helped lead the financing and development of such Rose projects as Hoyt & Horn in Brooklyn, aalto57 at 252 East 57th Street, 222 West 80th Street on the Upper West Side, and 7 West 21st Street in the Flatiron.
Love Funding announced that Sharon Thole has joined the company as a Director of Originations.
Thole joins Love Funding after serving as a multi-site COO for a non-for-profit senior living organization.
She has also served in executive operations and business development positions with national nursing home organizations.
Thole holds a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Gerontology from Minnesota State University-Moorhead. She is a licensed nursing home administrator (LNHA).
Sidney Singer has joined Levin Management Corporation (LMC) as a senior leasing representative.
Singer is responsible for leasing and marketing efforts at a number of properties within LMC’s shopping center portfolio.
Singer brings more than 12 years of retail real estate industry experience in both leasing and property management operations to LMC.
Most recently, he was a commercial leasing manager at Edgewood Properties Inc. in Piscataway, N.J. Previously, he was a commercial leasing representative at Wolfson Group Inc.
Singer is a licensed real estate salesperson in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
