Brit fashion house joins Mad crowd

Thor Equities has leased 5,800 s/f of retail space at 680 Madison Avenue to British haute couture fashion house, Ralph & Russo.

David Baker of Isaacs and Company represented the tenant in the deal. Sam Polese, Albert Dayan and Alexandra Frangos of Thor Equities represented the landlord.

Thor previously leased 12,300 s/f at 680 Madison Avenue to Tom Ford for its new flagship Manhattan store, 7,000 s/f of to luxury men’s brand Brioni, and 650 s/ft exclusive eyewear collection Morgenthal Frederics. Art gallery Barrington Fine Arts also occupies space in the building.

Running the entire length of Madison Avenue between 61st and 62nd Streets, 680 Madison includes 38,500 s/f of space owned by Thor Equities. Approximately 6,500 s/f is currently available for lease on the ground floor.

The building is located on the Upper East Side near Fifth Avenue, Central Park and Museum Mile, and surrounded by luxury retailers including Hermès, Graff, Chopard, David Yurman, Robert Cavalli, Christian Dior, Valentino, Chanel, Prada, Jimmy Choo, Brunello Cucinelli, and Barneys New York.

Built in 1951 by the Astor Estate as a hotel, the property later became the Helmsley Carlton House before being converted to a luxury residential and retail property.
