High fashion darling Forty Five Ten has signed a deal to open a 16,000 s/f multi-level store at Hudson yards.
The Dallas-based luxury brand said it will open the store designed by Snarkitecture in March 2019.
Vice President of Creative and Women’s Fashion Director Taylor Tomasi Hill, said “Hudson Yards will allow us to grow our New York market, yet keep our personal approach to every element of the business – it’s the only way that feels right to us.”
The Hudson Yards outpost will join the brand’s five other stores across Texas and California.
Kenneth A. Himmel, CEO of Related Urban, developer of Hudson Yards, said, “Forty Five Ten has transformed the luxury retail experience through its innovative approach to design and experiential shopping. We are thrilled to be the home of their first ever New York City store, where they will provide customers a uniquely elevated shopping experience.
“They are a visionary brand with an unparalleled reputation across the fashion world and join a growing collective of tastemakers, visionaries and creators who are bringing the best in design, fashion, beauty and dining to Hudson Yards, the new heart of New York.”
The New York location will be the second largest for the brand, following its flagship store in Dallas, which was completed in 2016 succeeding the brand’s acquisition by Headington Companies in 2014.
An emblem of the city’s urban renaissance, the Dallas flagship earned Forty Five Ten the reputation as an anchor of neighborhoods on the rise. Katherine Greenberg, chief operating officer of Forty Five Ten, said, “New York is the shopping capital of the world, largely because of its diverse retail clientele and creative magnetism. Hudson Yards brings these worlds together in one energetic hub, which was a compelling draw for us.”
