Real estate title insurance firm First American Title Company has taken an entire floor at SL Green’s 110 East 42nd Street.
The firm signed a ten-year 17,984 s/f lease at the 18-story office tower. The company will occupy the building’s tenth floor.
“We are delighted to welcome First American to our building,” said Steven Durels, SL Green’s executive vice president and director of leasing and real property. “Leasing activity in the Grand Central submarket remains extremely active”.
The property, also known at the Bowery Building, is directly across from Grand Central Terminal. It is home to event space Cipriani 42nd Street. Office tenants in the tower include test-prep firm Princeton Review and consulting firm SLR Acquisition.
Robin Fisher and Christie Bennett from Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented First American in the transaction. Meanwhile Howard Tenenbaum and Gary Rosen represented SL Green in-house.
